(borkena) Sham Ethiopian court adjourned the cases of zone9bloggers for the fourth time. Nearly two months after zone9bloggers are put in custody in Maekelawi without charge, police is granted another 28 days to complete “investigation.”
According to report on Zone9 blog, members of Zone9 bloggers ; Atinaf Berhane, Natnael Feleke and Zelalem Kibret appeared in Arada District Court in the capital Addis Ababa.
As well, the cases of Edom Kassaye and Tesfalem Woldeyes, journalists and close friends of Zone9bloggers adjourned for July 12, 2014.
Zone9 report indicated that the bloggers were in good spirit during their court appearance. Despite harassment of friends and families of zone9bloggers by government security in previous court appearances, more than 300 friends and supporters of Zone9 bloggers showed up at the court to in a show of support to zone9bloggers.
According to government pretext Zone9bloogers are suspected of “terrorist” charges but everyone else is quite clear that the cases of zone9bloggers is purely political and the illegal and uncalled for incarceration is meant to repress zone9bloggers and intimidate the increasingly politicized youth in Ethiopia.
