Very tragic massacre in South Sudan. Apparently, it is not just a war for resource control. Ethnic politics has its own significant contribution in the making of the massacre. The Question is , is there an end in sight for it? Mediation virtually failed and this recent massacre demonstrate that very well. Both sides are armed but is that a guarantee that it is not escalating to outright genocide? Who is supplying arms to both sides? Why has the conflict went out of control in such a short time? Is it really an organic conflict, if there is such a thing? What is the role of political elites and outsiders?
