Sewunet Bihsaw disclosed Ethiopian squad for CHAN (African Nations Championship)games. The game is taking place in January 2014 and South Africa is hosting the tournament.
According to Ethiopian Reporter, Sisay Bancha and Abebawu Butaqo are not included in the squad on grounds of misconduct. Abebaw and Sisay were members of Team Ethiopia for the past two years.
Members of Team Ethiopia for chan games are Alula Girma, Saladin Bergecho, Degu Debebe, Minyahil Teshome, Adane Girma, Omud Oukri, Biyadgligne, Mentesnot, Tariku Getnet, Seyoum Tesfaye, Birhanu Bogale, Tadele Mengesha, Shimekit Gugsa, Jemal Tasew, Tok Jemes, Ephrem Ashamo, Fasika Asfaw, Dereje Alemu, Aynalem Hailu, Asrat Megersa, Mulualem Yaqob,Gebremichael Yaqob, Manaye Fantu, Mehari Mena and Moges Tadesse.
The squad is mainly drawn from St George, Dedebit and Buna clubs.
